About Dr. Kristen
Sep 02, 2026
Hi, I'm Dr. Kristen.
I'm a board-certified pediatrician, and I built Ready Set Mom™ for the conversation I have in my office ten times a day — the one where a new mom apologizes for asking "a dumb question," and then asks something every parent wonders and almost nobody says out loud.
You are not supposed to already know this. That's the whole idea here.
Why Ready Set Mom™ exists
In a fifteen-minute visit, I can answer what's urgent. I can't give you the context underneath it — the why, the what's normal, the what to watch for, the what can absolutely wait until morning. Ready Set Mom™ is where that context lives: straight answers from a pediatrician, organized so you can find them at 2am with one hand free.
No fear-mongering. No twelve-minute video to get to one sentence of advice. Just what I'd tell you if we had all the time in the world.
How I practice
I believe the best care begins with listening. Every child is unique, and a quality partnership between parents and their pediatrician is so valuable. Taking the time to understand each family's concerns, answer questions thoughtfully, and collaborate in decision-making is one of the most rewarding parts of my job. My hope is that every family leaves feeling heard, informed, and confident in their child's care.
My approach to pediatrics is holistic, considering not only a child's physical health, but also their nutrition, development, environment, and the many factors that influence lifelong wellness. Children are remarkably resilient, and I believe in supporting the body's natural ability to heal while using medications thoughtfully, when truly needed. Whether I'm caring for a healthy newborn or helping a family navigate more complex medical concerns, I'm committed to providing compassionate, personalized care and advocating for my patients every step of the way.
That's the same standard I hold everything in Ready Set Mom™ to. If I wouldn't say it to a family in my exam room, it doesn't go in here.
My background
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Trinity University before receiving my Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Midwestern University's Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine. I completed my pediatric residency at Phoenix Children's Hospital/Maricopa Medical Center and am board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. For the last decade, I've had the privilege of caring for children and families throughout the Valley.
Outside of medicine
I'm engaged to my fiancé, Mike, dog mom to our shih tzu, Lola, and proud aunt to our nieces and nephews. We enjoy traveling, spending time outdoors, staying active, and saying "yes" to new adventures whenever we can.
